The Ultimate Panador Hat™ begins (like all genuine Panama hats) with authentic toquilla straw and is handwoven in Cuenca, Ecuador.

Once woven, the process of washing, drying, and softening the fibers takes place in Ecuador. When the hat is shaped and softened, the handmade shell is shipped to our finishers in the USA where the Solar Weave sun protection, the Teflon coating, and a Cool Max hat band are applied to the hat.

While not strictly traditional, we're confident that you will appreciate these modern updates to the Panama Hat.

Solar Weave

Solar Weave blocks the sun and provide 100% UV protection. Solar Weave is a fabric bonded inside the hat's brim and crown. The Solar Weave process is available in only a few US factories.

Teflon Finishing

We apply a teflon finish to the outside of our Ultimate Panador Hat that repels stains and protects against water damage.

Cool Max Hat Band

The final added touch to our Ultimate Panador Hat is the Cool Max hat band. It's not quite as pretty as the more traditional leather hat band, but it is much more comfortable, effective, and durable.

The Cool Max hat band actually improves the way the Ultimate Panador Hat™ fits. This soft, elastic material shapes to your head in a way no traditional hat band can. It wicks away moisture and helps keep your head even cooler.
