When the hat has been shaped and softened, the handmade shell is shipped to our finishers in the USA where the SolarWeave^® sun protection, the Teflon^® coating, and a CoolMax^® hatband are applied to the hat.

SolarWeave^® is a fabric bonded inside the Panama hat's brim and crown. SolarWeave^® lining provides 100% UV protection, and only a few US finishers provide it.
